The initiators of the "Internationale Lichttage Winterthur" are the Forum Architektur Winterthur, the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur and the Winterthur Museum of Applied and Industrial Arts. The "Internationale Lichttage Winterthur" Association has been founded to facilitate the organisation of the event. All responsible bodies are members of this Association.
The Association was founded to develop a concept for and to organise and realise the "Internationale Lichttage Winterthur", the aim of which is to sensitise the general public and specialist organisations towards the purposeful application of light in public and private spaces from the point of view of design, urban planning and sustainability. Furthermore, the Association promotes contact and communicaton between its partners and members. The Association is non-commercial and non-profit making.
